An authentically Canadian Christmas on the farm
It feels like stepping into a Hallmark movie.
Admission is where the fun begins. Start in the courtyard with live music, crackling firepits, Muskoka chairs and pizza fresh from our wood-fired oven. Then head out to meet our fluffy Highland cows, ride the tractor wagon, wander the trails and snap photos all over the farm.
Erin Hill Acres is an authentic Christmas tree farm, and admission gives you access to our fresh-cut Christmas tree forest: up to 2,000 Fraser Fir and Balsam Fir trees on display to choose from. Every precut tree stands open, tagged and tied to a T-bar, so you stroll rows that look just like the trees growing on the farm. It’s our biggest and best selection, by far.

A visit to our farm during the holidays can be more than just shopping for a tree. Yes, we grow and sell beautiful Christmas trees, but we are also a place where people enjoy time together and create memories that last a lifetime.
A few tips for your first real tree
We take care of you. Every tree goes home with our tree care card, and our team is happy to walk you through it.
- Measure first. Choose a tree about a foot shorter than your ceiling.
- Plan the ride home. Bring straps for the roof or a blanket for inside the car.
- Keep it cool. Away from fireplaces, heat vents and sunny windows.
- Check your stand. It should fit the trunk and hold water.
- Water right away. Check the stand daily and keep it topped up.
- Dress for the farm. Warm layers and boots, then enjoy the firepit.

- Take your time and look for the tree
- Found it? Signal your concierge, who brings you a hand saw
- Cut your tree while your concierge captures photos or video on your phone
- Your concierge puts a special Fir Grove tag on your tree and brings it to the exit
- Pay at the Fir Grove exit (not the main exit), then we fresh-cut, shake and bale it for the trip home

Please read before you cut
Spruce is a short-season Christmas tree. It looks great for about 7 to 10 days, then drops needles much faster than fir.
- Needles drop very fast near a heat source or in a sunny window
- Spruce needles are sharp, so gloves help when handling
- Best for a tree you’ll put up close to Christmas
Your concierge will ask you to confirm that you understand this before handing you a saw. Because needle drop is natural for spruce, we can’t offer refunds or replacements for it.
For 50 years this was a cut-your-own farm. Two years ago we paused cut-your-own because there weren’t enough trees ready to cut, and we’ve been planting ever since. Now a limited number are ready again. Every tree cut is one less choice for the next family, so we’ve made cut-your-own a guided experience: ribboned-off areas, concierges on hand, and one tree cut per saw. That way every tree cut goes home with someone who loves it, and our young trees get the time they need to grow. We can’t promise cut-your-own every year, so if it’s on your family’s list, this is the season to come.
